Morrissey - you Know I Couldn t Last

The whispering, May hurt you, But the printed word might kill you
The whispering, May hurt you, But the printed word might kill you
So don t let the blue, The blue eyes fool you
They re just gelignite, Loaded and aiming right between your eyes
CDs and T-shirts, promos and God knows, You know I couldn t last, Someone please
take me home

The teenagers, Who love you, They will wake up, yawn and kill you
The teenagers, Who love you, They will wake up, yawn and kill you

So don t let the blue, The blue eyes fool you
They re just gelignite, Loaded and aiming right between your eyes
CDs and T-shirts, promos and God knows
You know I couldn t last, Someone please take me home
There s a cash register ringing and
It weighs so heavy on my back, Someone please take me home

The critics who, Can t break you
They somehow help to make you
The critics who, Can t break you, Unwittingly they make you

So don t let the good days, Of the gold discs, Creep up and mug you
With evil legal eagles, You know I couldn t last, Accountants rampant, You know
I couldn t last
Every -ist and every -ism, Thrown my way to stay, And the northern leeches go
on, Removing, removing, removing

Then in the end, Your royalties bring you luxuries, Your royalties bring you
luxuries, Oh but

:D I love Hard-Fi, cant stop playing this album !

Tied up too tight

Oh where I come from
I just don t conform
Get me out of here!
Leave the boredom behind
Wanna see the bright lights
Get this thing in gear
Yeah...
Soon I m riding in my car
Follow the star
Drop on empty town
With the stereo lit
Take the Great West Road out

You get your boots on...
You get your boots on...

And all the boys and girls sing
(Na na na na na na)
Straight out of West London
(Na na na na na na)
Just like a loaded gun
(Na na na na na na)
The cognoscenti don t like us
Don t like us!
(Na na na na na na)
We ll hit the strip tonight
(Na na na na na na)
Your eyes are burning so bright
(Na na na na na na)
Can t you feel the blood rush, baby
Tied up too tight!

Wa-ah-ah-ah-ahah

Tell me can you feel it
Feel the city breathing
Feel its beating heart
No superstition
Just cold ambition
It s time to make our mark
Oh...

You get your boots on...
You get your boots on...

And all boys and girls sing
(Na na na na na na)
Straight out of West London
(Na na na na na na)
Just like a loaded gun
(Na na na na na na)
The cognoscenti don t like us
Don t like us!
(Na na na na na na)
We ll hit the strip tonight
(Na na na na na na)
Your eyes are burning so bright
(Na na na na na na)
Can t you feel the blood rush, baby
Tied up too tight!

Tied up too tight...
Tied up too tight...

And all boys and girls sing
(Na na na na na na)
Straight out of West London
(Na na na na na na)
Just like a loaded gun
(Na na na na na na)
The cognoscenti don t like us
Don t like us!
(Na na na na na na)
We ll hit the strip tonight
(Na na na na na na)
Your eyes are burning so bright
(Na na na na na na)
Can t you feel the blood rush, baby
Tied up too tight!

Tied up too tight...
Tied up too tight...

I sneaked off work on night shift last night for half an hour to watch Morrissey being interviewed by Edith Bowman,he played a few tracks including this oldie from The Smiths,i hope its on his set list when i see him later on this month :)

                           The Smiths - Still Ill

                           I decree today that life
Is simply taking and not giving
England is mine and it owe s me a living
Ask me why,and i ll spit in your eye
Ask me why,and i ll spit in your eye
But we cannot cling to the old dreams anymore
No,we cannot cling to those dreams

Does the body rule the mind
Or does the mind rule the body
                           I dunno....

Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although i ended up with sore lips
It just wasn t like the old days antmore
No,it wasn t like those days
                           Am i still ill?

Does the body rule the mind
Or does the mind rule the body
                           I dunno...

Ask me why and i ll die
Ask me why and i ll die
And if you must go out to work tomorrow
                           Well,if i was you i wouldn t bother
For there are brighter sides to life
                           And i should know
                           Because i ve seen them
                           But not very often...
Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although i ended up with sore lips
It just wasn t like the old days anymore
No,it wasn t like those days
                           Am i still ill?

I'm the screen,the blinding light
I'm the screen,i work at night

I cry everytime I hear this song, I would love to Play it for My Dad sometime.

NickleBack
Toobad

Fathers hands were lined with dirt
From long days in the field
And mothers hands are serving meals
In a cafe on this street
With mouths to feed
Just trying to keep clothing on our backs
And all I hear about is
How it s so bad, it s so bad

It s too bad, it s too bad
Too late, so wrong, so long
It s too bad that we had no time to rewind
Let s walk, let s talk
Let s talk

You left without saying goodbye
Although I m sure you tried
You call and ask from time to time
To make sure we re alive
But you weren t there
Right when I m needing you the most
And now I dream about it
How it s so bad, it s so bad

It s too bad, it s too bad
Too late, so wrong, so long
It s too bad that we had no time to rewind
Let s walk, let s talk
Let s talk

Father s hands are lined with guilt
For tearing us apart
Guess it turned out in the end
Just look at where we are
Made it up, still got clothing on our backs
And now I scream about it
How it s so bad, it s so bad

It s too bad, it s too bad
Too late, so wrong, so long
It s too bad that we had no time to rewind
Let s walk, let s talk
Let s talk

No time, last one, let s go

April 29 - The Rembrandts

I m so glad to see you..delighted that you came
I swear you haven t changed
I called you to tell you, I m coming home in seven days
In a word it s all arranged
I ve been so lonely since I lost my mind, and my patience is wearin  thin
But I feel lucky when I think of you, and how I ll see your face again
EVERYTHING IS FINE-APRIL 29
TRY TO BE ON TIME-APRIL 29
I used to be fearful, of the voice inside my head
And all the foolish things it said
Oh, tell me you ll be there-It would be just like old times
April 29
I ve been so lonely since I lost my mind, and my patience is wearin  thin
But I feel lucky when I think of you, and how I ll see your face again
(CHORUS)
Unlock the door and...throw away the key
The sun is shining-We re finally free
I ve been so lonely since I lost my mind, and my patience is wearin  thin
But I feel lucky when I think of you, and how I ll see your face again
(CHORUS 2x)
Arrivederci Roma...

Moonchild...Fields of the Nephilim  :D

Well it s a righteous dream
But out of mind, yeah
A righteous dream
But out of mind, yeah

Tend the horses
Let  em crawl
Put  em in their cages

That s righteous for the soul

Open your eyes
And despite what s deep
Longevity
Well, that s righteous for the weak

Moonchild
Lower me down, lower me down
Moonchild
Lower me down down down down down down

Well it s a righteous day
But out of mind, yeah
And I give your last rite
Oh, it s a righteous day

Never return, I will wait no more
Take no prisoners in the promised war
You ll die for this
Die for this
Take them

Moonchild
Lower me down, lower me down
Moonchild
Lower me down

Moonchild
Lower me down,
Moonchild
Lower me down down down down down down

Moonchild
Here come the silver pieces
Can t you see
You re losing me

Moonchild
Lower me down, lower me down
Moonchild
Lower me down

Moonchild
Lower me down,
Moonchild
Lower me down down down down down down

Moonchild
Lower me down,
Moonchild
Lower me down down down down down down

Revisit to an empty hall
You can t see I ve been burned before
Well they tear you down and they ll bear your shame
Longevity hear my pain

Moonchild (lower me down)

And I m waiting, and I m raging,
And I m waiting, and I m raging,
And a white moon falls, a black moon calls,
Waiting to defy the One

Moonchild (lower me down)

Longevity, longevity,
I melt down where I burned before
Longevity, longevity,
I melt down where I burned before
And I know where you lay
I melt down where I burned before
And I know where you lay (down, down, down)

Okay

Moonchild

Blue Monday Lyrics

How does it feel to treat me like you do
When you ve laid your hands upon me
And told me who you are
I thought I was mistaken
I thought I heard your words
Tell me
How do I feel tell me now
How do I feel

How does it feel?
How should I feel?
Tell me how does it feel?
To treat me like you do

Those who came before me
Lived through their vocations
From the past until completion
They ll turn away no more
And I still find it so hard
To say what I need to say
But I m quite sure that you ll tell me
Just how I should feel today

I see ship in the harbor
I can and shall obey
But if it wasn t for your misfortunes
I d be a heavenly person today
And I thought I was mistaken
And I thought I heard you speak
Tell me now
How should I feel
Now I stand here waiting...
I thought I told you to leave me
While I walked down to the beach
Tell me how does it feel
when your heart grows cold

How does it feel?
How should I feel?
Tell me how does it feel?
To treat me like you do

I am totally into this song right now, its kinda the way I feel lately and the beat is so mellow it just outs me in a good mood...

Uncle Kracker
in a Little while...

Here s to the good life or so they say
All those parties and games that all those people play
They tell me this is the place to be
All these beautiful people and nothin  to see

Sometimes I feel like something is gone here
Something is wrong here, I don t belong here
Sometimes I feel like a stranger in town
And I ve lost what I found, it ll all turn around

In a little while I ll be thinkin  about you
In a little while I ll still be here without you
You never gave me a reason to doubt you
In a little while I ll be thinkin  about you baby...I ll be thinkin  about you baby

On the other side of a coin
There s a face there s a memory somewhere that I can t erase
And there s a place that I find someday
But sometimes I feel like it s slippin  away

In a little while I ll be thinkin  about you
In a little while I ll still be here without you
You never gave me a reason to doubt you
In a little while I ll be thinkin  about you baby...I ll be thinkin  about you baby

Sometimes I feel like something is gone here
Something is wrong here, I don t belong here
Sometimes I feel like a stranger in town
And I ve lost what I found, it ll all turn around

Some things are lost some left behind
Some things are better left for someone else to find
Maybe in time I can finally see
I just wonder, wonder if you think about me

Sometimes I feel like something is gone here
Something is wrong here, I don t belong here
Sometimes I feel like a stranger in town
And I ve lost what I found, it ll all turn around

In a little while I ll be thinkin  about you
In a little while I ll still be here without you
You never gave me a reason to doubt you
In a little while I ll be thinkin  about you baby...I ll be thinkin  about you baby

One of my all time FAV songs done by Clapton but originally by Robert Johnson
An absolute Legend

Crossroads

I went down to the crossroads,
Fell down on my knees.
I went down to the crossroads,
Fell down on my knees.
Asked the Lord above for mercy,
Quote
Save me if you please.
Quote

I went down to the crossroads,
Tried to flag a ride.
I went down to the crossroads,
Tried to flag a ride.
Nobody seemed to know me,
Everybody passed me by.

I m going down to Rosedale,
Take my rider by my side.
I m going down to Rosedale,
Take my rider by my side.
You can still barrelhouse, baby,
On the riverside.

You can run, you can run,
Tell my friend-boy Willie Brown.
You can run, you can run,
Tell my friend-boy Willie Brown.
And I m standing at the crossroads,
Believe I m sinking down.

The Eagles

Hotel California

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
This could be Heaven or this could be Hell
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year (Any time of year)
You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes Benz
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the Captain,
 Please bring me my wine
He said,  We haven t had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They livin  it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice suprise)
Bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said  We are all just prisoners here, of our own device
And in the master s chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can t kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
 Relax,  said the night man,
 We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!

Andrew WK PARTY HARD.

When it s time to party we will party hard

You,
You work all night (all night)
And when you work you don t feel all right
And we,
When things stop feeling all right (all right)
And everything is all right

Cos we will never listen to your rules (no)
We will never do what others do
(no)
Know what we want and we get it from you
Do what we like and we like what we do

So let s get a party going (let s get a party going)
Now it s time to party and we ll party hard (party hard)
Let s get a party going (let s get a party going)
When it s time to party we will always party hard
Party hard (party hard, party hard, party hard party hard, party hard, party hard party hard, party hard, party hard...)

All right
You,
You fight that fight
And when you re fightin  you feel all right
But when,
When things stop feeling all right (all right)
And everything is all right

Cos we will never listen to your rules (no)
We will never do what others do
(no)
Know what we want and we get it from you
We do what we like and we like what we do

So let s get a party going (let s get a party going)
Now it s time to party and we ll party hard (party hard)
Let s get a party going (let s get a party going)
When it s time to party we will always party hard
Party hard (party hard, party hard, party hard party hard, party hard, party hard party hard, party hard, party hard party hard, party hard, party hard...)
Say NO to chastisement of character, say it like you want

Somethings Gotten Hold Of My Heart
Gene Pitney - RIP

Somethings gotten hold of my heart
Keeping my soul and my senses apart
Somethings gotten into my life
Cutting it s way through my dreams like a knife
Turning me up, and turning me down
Making me smile, and making me frown

In a world that was war
I once lived in a time that was peace and no troubles at all
But then you came my way
And a feeling of unknown shook my heart,
made me want you to stay
All of my nights, and all of my days

(yeah I gotta tell you now)
Something s gotten hold of my hand
Dragging my soul to a beautiful land
Yeah, something has invaded my night
Painting my sleep with a colour so bright
Changing the grey, and changing the blue
Scarlet for me, and scarlet for you

I got to know if this is the real thing
I got to know it s making my heart sing
Wo-hoo-o-ye-e-e-e-e e-
You smile and I am lost for a lifetime
Each minute spent with you is the right time
Every hour, every day
You touch me and my mind goes astray, yeah
Baby, baby

Something s gotten hold of my hand
Dragging my soul to a beautiful land
Something has invaded my night
Painting my sleep with a colour so bright
Changing the grey, and changing the blue
Scarlet for me, and scarlet for you
