Code of Conduct for the SkinCity forum.

You agree, when you use this forum, to abide by the standards of behaviour described on this page. Any violation of the Code of Conduct will result in action from the forum moderators. At the discretion of the moderators, these actions may include, but are not limited to: deletion of a posted message without notification to the author; warnings; and banning severe or repeat offenders from the SkinCity forum. 

Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of posts on this forum. We are not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of this forum. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify the moderator of this forum immediately. We have the rights to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy also applies to member profile information. * No vulgar language or profanity - This includes inappropriate words, inappropriate sexual references, other vulgar statements and personal attacks.

* No threatening, abusive or harassing comments.
* Where reports are reproduced in toto, please quote the source where possible.
* No slanderous or libelous posts - Knowingly making false claims about a company, organization or an individual are prohibited.
* No advertising or product marketing. No commercial ads allowed. An advertisement is categorized as an outright attempt to solicit business. Any such posts may be removed.
* Do not engage in "flame-wars" or excessive exchange of confrontational postings. Debate is important, but users should not try to "pick a fight." 
* We reserve the right to delete any link for any reason.
* No spamming; do not post the same message in every topic with different titles, but with the same message.
* While we encourage lively debate, no personal attacks is tolerated.
* Forum rules and guidelines are not up for debate.
* Anyone openly debating the rules we have set in place will be removed. Moderators of this forum are not to be argued with when enforcing forum rules and guidelines. Anyone arguing with a Moderator against disciplinary measures will be removed from the forum. 
* Dont post email addresses in the posts, as the search engine spiders gather information within posts, and this can be seen by anyone. So leaves you liable to receive spam. If you want to give your email address to someone, send them an IM.
* NO OBSCENE LANGUAGE. This board is intended for family use. Please refrain from using any vulgar language that would offend someone else. Inappropriate words will be edited. This also applies to User Names. Accounts with inappropriate user names may be deleted.
* NO OBSCENE MATERIAL. Please, no pornographic material or links to it. If it is not fit for family members, it is not fit for here. DON'T DO IT! We have a 0 tolerance policy on this one.

This forum is a non-profit community dedicated to skin disorders and diseases. There is no need for registration fees, subscriptions or gratuities. Any links that may be posted by any member to other sites containing any advertising are not in any way connected or related to this forum. All advertisements will be removed by the moderating team.

The opinions and experiences of the members of the forum are not given or implied as medical advice. This forum is designed to allow people living with skin diseases to come together to share information which may be of benefit to others. Members are reminded that any changes in therapies or medicines should always be referred to your consulting doctor first. Members are not qualified medical doctors unless clearly stated and authenticated. The information provided on this site is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his/her existing physician.

Confidentiality and privacy

You may not post any form of real life information of a user unless the user has first permitted it by express consent. Examples of real life information include name, address, IP addresses, and phone numbers.
